Privacy Policy
Terrace Systems, Inc. ("Terrace") makes software for home health and home care agencies. This policy covers myterrace.com and the Terrace service, including text messages.
1. Health information
Agencies ("Customers") use Terrace to store protected health information (PHI). We handle PHI as a business associate of the Customer, under a Business Associate Agreement (BAA) and HIPAA. The BAA, not this policy, governs PHI. Patients with questions about their information should contact their agency.
2. What we collect
- Account information: name, work email, role, agency details.
- Customer data: information agencies store in Terrace, which may include PHI.
- Phone number and text messages: if you opt in to texts.
- Connected account data: information from accounts you connect, such as Google.
- Usage data: log data, IP address, browser type, and activity on the service.
3. Text messages
We only text numbers that have opted in. We send service messages, not marketing. Reply STOP to opt out or HELP for help. Text messages are not encrypted end to end, so do not text patient information.
We do not sell or share mobile numbers or SMS consent with third parties for marketing.
4. Google user data
If you connect a Google account, we access only the data needed for the features you turn on. Our use of Google data follows the Google API Services User Data Policy, including Limited Use requirements.
5. How we use and share information
We use information to provide, secure, and improve Terrace. We do not sell personal information or let service providers use Customer data to train their models. We share information only with service providers who help us run Terrace under contract (and BAAs where PHI is involved), when required by law, or in a business transfer.
6. Security and retention
We separate each agency's data, encrypt it in transit and at rest, limit access, and audit access to PHI. We keep Customer data while the account is active and as our agreements require.
7. Your choices
You can update your account, opt out of texts, or disconnect connected accounts at any time. To request access, correction, or deletion, contact contact@myterrace.com.
